+1 on this. The driving it while it is still rotting away thing is getting to be a bit old and the car deserves to be blown apart and gone through and put together as the original builder's dream would have built it. Not over refined and over restored but put back to what it should have been when it was originally built as a rod. The only changes being redoing the obviously scabbed together or short cutted things that weren't up to the standards of the period when it was originally built.

Did anyone else think that the way it was hidden ,
It may have been put their to HIDE IT ?

If it was in a OPEN yard and hidden like that,
I would think one of the yard workers was
trying to keep it for them selfs or hiding it from prying eyes along time ago .

  5. No need for the buick explanation now. Cool score Nick.

  6. I got to visit the place a short while ago. That's not the case here.

Just going to try to head this off at the pass.... there's no point in all the "philosophyzing" on this one guys. It's above boards, and legit.
Some people just don't want to share with the world what is in their back yard and have people beating on the doors to let them in. After a few of these posts, I think you could understand why.

Nick got the OK to share this with you guys, just let it be.:)

In the 3rd picture, between you and the yellow forklift, there is a 'sports car' that appears to be either a Cisitalia or a very early Ferrari. Either would be worth plenty to collectors. If you have access to that lot again, maybe you could try to identify that car, so I'll know whether I'm full of 'stuff' or not.

No..the correct thing to do would have been to start the post by saying something like " I was very lucky to find and purchase this car, but please do not ask where, out of respect for the owners". Case closed.
I asked the question out in the open forum. I can imagine his PM box has more than one or two asking the same.
    Enjoy the "awesome" photos.

Don't know who made them but they were based on a CISITALIA. You best go back and get it, sure will make for a HAPPY NEW YEAR! Bob  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmdsAjazHsY

  14. How'd you make it past the half dozen other posts highlighting and discussing the same car? Nothing personal.

Maybe, he's like me and likes to research a reply without reading other posts? Bob

Well, I just got so excited about that thing, I quit reading and just posted. I apologize for not following the thread to the end and offending you in such a shameful manner. Plus - I didn't make myself look too smart either now - did I?

There's a '71 - '72 Roadrunner on the roof of one of those cargo boxes or sheds. Where is this place?

  19. Buzznut, i think its in Florida. I seen a palm tree in one of the pictures.

I dig that your priority is protecting the identity of the owner of that yard..

That's exactly why he's been able to hold onto all those cars. I would hate if I had a yard and everyone was knocking on my door all the time. We should be grateful that some man is wanting to preserve them and keep them safe than scrap them.

I've been hearing hints about this deal, but WOW!

I know the owner, know where the place is. Out of respect for them I am sworn to secrecy.

It'd be nice if you would add some to the story. You know alot more about this than I do.
