Bed wood

    We used apitong on military semi trailers for years. As long as you do not paint the wood (as with most woods) it will wick the moisture out the bottom are evaperate (spelling?) from the top. Painted wood seems to rot from the inside out.
    apitong holds it shape and size quite well also. The wood is not that expensive, but might take some checking for a supplier.

    Just to be different here is a shot of what will be mine...

    This Doug Fir sat buried in Columbia River mud for 60+ years. It was a perimeter log from a log raft that got away. Not one knot in my chunk which is the one the guy is standing by. It and the two pieces directly behind him and to the right were once all one log.
