You have to watch this its the best time I have ever had in my hotrod... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vXrHaagRuY
Thank you for posting this,,if this video doesn't get you excited & blood pumping you just don't like hot rods! HRP
Wow, that's really great! Thanks for posting the link. It got me excited and my blood is pumping so hard I'm almost concerned about velocity induced erosion.
That was the best thing I've ever done in a hot rod, and just before that final run down the beach we were all parked up at the far end waiting for Neil to make the last run on the sand. When he got to the end, we all fired up the cars and just sat there for a few moments revving the shit out of them. 80 plus hot rods being as loud as we wanted, no one else could hear us, we were too far from the pit area and down wind. It was a real goose bumps moment and one I'll never forget. Then the awesome return run back, which ever way I looked it was just hot rods, nothing else, they were every where, just hot rods and sand. Prefect! Roll on next year. Pete
WOW! That close out run along the sand was great! Didn't know there were so many neat Hot Rods in the UK. Just loved it! Thomas
Nick the original poster of this thread came round late this morning and was telling me that he had put this thread up, he also said that he had just gone and got a new large screen smart Tv earlier today and stuck this video on it as soon as he had it plugged in. He too said it was absolutely awesome on the large screen rather than the pc. The whole Pendine event was unbelievable and hard to sum up with words, you had to be there to take it all in really. It's also worth saying that there were a lot more cars at the event and running than were shown on the edited final of the film. A very cool and extremely traditional event. Paul.
That video was a blast, thanks guys. The V.H.R.A. also has a really cool Web site. Check it out if you like..... http://www.vhra.co.uk/VHRA/Home.html
Looks like a great event, saw some old faces and cars there as well. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I've watched that video a dozen times and I smile every time I see myself.. Plenty of coverage here- http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=830985&showall=1
