Just picked up this beauty! I'm the 3rd owner on it second owner got at estate sale never did anything with it, and it was in a garage before the estate sale! Completely solid needs nothing missing nothing! it even has the original took kit! I orginally seen this and though well I would strip the parts from it and put it in my PG 2 door sedan. But, I've grown partial to it right now. So I might get it running and see where it goes from there. This car by the way say 5,864 miles! My Pg I have needs a grill tail lights and alot of mechanisms and windows regulators. But now maybe I can rod my pg out and keep this one close to original .
Yea, I would love to find a 2 door! That would be awesome. Still happy with my 4 door find. Sent from my C6606 using H.A.M.B. mobile app
An old friend of mine passed away , he had a restored 33 Plymouth 4 Door . it is still sitting in his garage untouched , His wife won't let it go , she will not even start the engine , just letting it decompose in the garage , it will be " A Barn Find " one day too . Congratulations I am envious .
this is one case where a barn find 4 door beats a barn find 2 door sedan. (if a person likes a bone stock survivor). It just looks cooler with 4 doors. IMO
It currently doesn't run. Didn't try want to clean the motor up I really think it hasn't been cranked since the early 60s. Really neat car very solid will get some more pictures up tomorrow. That being said anyone have any information on these motors or sourcing parts for them? Sent from my C6606 using H.A.M.B. mobile app
Early 60s since run, there could be a layer of muck at the bottom of the pan to plug the screen, that you won't see on the dip stick. ..even with low miles, as the oils were sketchy then. Pull and clean the pan IMO. Parts should be easy for 34-up, because 33 was that last year of the old block that had exposed cylinders on the driver side. Later had the very common Mopar flat 6 with full water jacket there, casted over the cyls. There were two big Mopar places for early parts; Roberts Motor Car?, and Andy Bernbaum... probably more now
Thanks man going to try and get it running this weekend hooefully. Just found service tags on its from 11/12/61. And under that is even more dates! And the radiator hose has a tag on it too showing when it was replaced. So pumped even the oil looks great. Sent from my C6606 using H.A.M.B. mobile app
