heres a little peek at the skirts on.. they arent mounted and tightened flush.. just kind of hanging there! i need to get the right length bolts to secure them.. i like the look of skirts for sure.. glad i didnt flare or put a lip on the edge.. like the simplicity of the originals..

Man that looks great! I am getting closer by the day for paint on my 52 and this thread has given me new hope! What year Pontiac did the side trim come from? I need to find it myself but all I have found has an extra fold/line in it and I really want that smooth stuff.
    Car looks awsome,great thread!

hey thanks buddy.. 51-52 Pontiac trim is smooth.. the Pontiac ones with extra lines match up with the 53-54 chevy beltlines.

hey thanks! yeah i wanted to do a nice mixture of custom and stock.. I kept the split windsheild, 3 piece rear window, rockers, tailights (just lowered them a few inches) no frenching.. no kustom tail lights or grill, but shaved the emblems, locks, door handles, chopped it and tried to find a classy color. Im real happy with the way it came out.. its not flawless, but knowing i did it myself, feels real good.. :)

For those of you asking.. No real big updates still.. have been saving $$ for my front and rear glass.. finally dropped of my deposit and should be getting it installed within the next few weeks.. getting my exhaust relocated tomorrow so i can run my skirts finally.. once rear glass is in.. I can finish the Pontiac beltline. Taking it in to get straightened and polished first. So all looks good for the Suede Palace.. wont have interior done by then, but will start after GNRS. Also have to start chopping my vent windows.. then finish side glass.. will keep ya posted.. thanks for the comments guys..CJ

I just found this post today. AMAZING WORK!

Could you tell me what flake you used and what process.
Flake size, & color, and did you spray it on in the midcoat, or clear?
Also, how did it spray, & did you use the primer gun for the flake?

I am planning some beginner flake work sometime, and your work looks great.
    THANKS, Greg
