Does anyone know where I can get these adjusters for a 1940 backing plate? My other plate is missing them.

Off another 39-48 backing plate. They aren’t supposed to be removed.

Google Supplier of Snail Cam brake Adjuster. Would have thought there must be a supplier over there.

Oh, I thought he was missing the inside cam. Those stainless bolt kits still require the original inside cams.

I think he is missing the cam. When I looked at that kit I thought it was strange they do not show the cam. The similar kits they do over here come with a cam but are not stainless steel.

A friend gave me a backing plate however the shoe clips are missing, I thought about using mine but you can see the mounts are different for the clips

Your top left pic is a 46-48 plate....it uses a clip that slides in. The bottom right pic is a 39-40...the clip is part of the plate. The top right pic is someone's homemade attempt at a replacement clip.

thanks for the info, which plate is 46/48 the black one or rusty one? The black ones were on my 40 banjo.

I think the long clip might be for the parking brake arm. Is it the opposite side of the cable tube?
