Here are some pics I took on friday. Big show with a lot of cars. I looked for Jeff and Jenny and was not able to find them. Talked to Bob K for a lil bit. I was only there for one day so I was on a mission to see everything I could. I ended up taking 600 pics that day. Here are few.
THere were a lot of converts there. I took a lot of pics of converts. After talking with HRLC at the Rust Revival I want one now. lol
Nice pic's Scott, that show has gotten so huge you have to look at so many cars to see the handfull of really cool stuff. Gary
this is a buddy of mines car, his name is Josh, i heard he was building an old T but didnt see it till he cruised over with it and we all drove out to registration. neat car! Scott, we were wondering the fair, mainly in the area of the wcco building, i drove my 34 p/u, i was bummed i didnt get my 32 tudor out there. sorry we missed ya. lots of cars, im tired. JEFF
bttt for anyone who got home tonight; I just got back home tonight about 8, left at 2 today (Saturday). Was at the 50's from Thursday morning on, TONS of nice cars. Record number of cars today (Sat.) around 12:30, Something like 11,700 some. Met a whole lot of nice people, and spotted a number of H.A.M.B. stickers. Took a load of pictures and will post sometime tomorrow when I've rejuvinated myself. On a sidenote, I made it there and back in the falcon, But I think it's the last trip of the 260 until my dad and I do a little investigative surgery. Rods are knockin' like hell. It was a little knocky before we left...500 + miles later shes ready for a little refresher. I got a lead on a real strong 302 that'll be an easy drop in though while we work on her. Take Care, Gayl
Scott, nice pics; let's see the rest! (jus kiddin). That 48 Chev Woody is one of my all-time favorites. ...all those pics are cool, thanks fer postin.
I missed the meet and greet today but I was wearing my HAMB shirt so I got noticed by a few HAMBers. It was cool meeting everyone that I did... it's nice to put faces to the names. Lot's of very cool cars. Here's some of the pics I took today.
Hey! I just left Back to the Fifties and it was great! talked abit with fellow HAMB member Tom Huber of Bismarck, ND had alot of fun. that 34 ford with the Hemi was awesome! hopefully my 1925 dodge hotrod will be ready by next year. (Yeah Right!) HEMI'S ARE BITCHIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even MORE Back to the Fifties Pictures! What a trip, we started out Wednesday morning, because we were rather unsure of how far the 260 would go in that Falcon (rather mild rattling). We drove up through backcountry Wisconsin to La Crosse, where we fooled around, and eventually stopped at Dave's guitar shop. I played some blues on some really expensive 12 string guitars (I might buy one someday), and check out some old fender stratocasters from the late 50's and early 60's! VINTAGE. Of course they were like, $20,000 and completely unaffordable We continued on the Great River road where we passed back and forth and checked out both the Minnesota and the Wisconsin sides of Ol' Muddy. Camped in Hudson,WI that night at Willow River State Park where we saw a really cool waterfall. Thursday was registration, which is almost a pre-show. Dad and I ate at Red Robin, he was quite impressed, but even happier because I bought . Friday and Saturday were a blast. We left about 2 Saturday afternoon, made it home safely. Just need to find a donor engine for the falcon (I think I have a 302 locally) so she can make it to Iola, WI in a couple of weeks. Enough talk, here are some pics! Sorry about the Gigantic size, there are A LOT of pictures, and I have a lot more. Rather dissapointed about this one immediatley above. You may have noticed I have many many Sedan/Flathead pictures. Well, I REALLY want to build one. What makes me sad about this one is that at one point, it was probably a perfectly original tudor sedan. *tear* This unlucky rodder got caught in the rain...Oh the Irony. More to come, Enjoy! Gayl
Hey Bob K., how did you get two of your cars there is that your trailer in the background? (Ken wants to know.)
One on each Foot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trailer????? Trailers are for Boats. The guy that does my paint and body work drove the Vette to the event. What a great weekend, only about 1/2 hour of rain on Friday and 10 minutes on Saturday. B
We knew you would have a "swell" answer,,,and you are right - "Trailers are for Boats". See you next weekend.
