wow! long way from when you first disassembled everything. almost looks to good to cover up with the body. glad to see this project moving along. also think the front wheelwell shape makes a huge improvement. always thought they looked out of place on an otherwise beautiful car. great job!

the body is back on the frame!
the body is very flexing, and we sometimes had a hard time open the doors.
so after we put it back, we tryed to align the body, and it seems to help.
what makes the body this soft, is the lack of reinforments under 3/4.
those where never made and put back, so i spend my sunday making new ones.
this is how it looked back then..

  14. Palle....car looks great and it is nice to see you caring about stance, since it is almost a extinct characteristic of a custom these days. Thanks for posting the pics.

    How great is this.
After at least 57 years there is once again a Cadillac Flathead engine in this great Custom Car. I bet if the car could it would put on a huge smile, and say "thank you for taking such good care"

Great to see the body back on the chassis, and I bet your fingers are starting to get very itchy to start removing the paint from the body to get it all to bare metal!

Perhaps somebody on here knows about a less tall period carburetor or a very low air-cleaner, or any other set up that will reduce the overall height of the engine.

thanks guys!!...! we cant wait to start removing that paint!
i do think that it looks pretty nice, cause it was stripped when Bob bought it, and the areas we checked was good looking!
some areas are better than others though!
when you look at older pictures, you see that it is pretty wavy, especially on the left side!
    but it can befixed..no problem!

thanks for your email Craig...maybe i should put it up here ha ha...i think we both are banned by the end of the day!
