Technical Auto trans onto 235

Besides the cast iron Powerglide, will any other auto trans bolt up to a Chevy 235 ('58 model)?

 

They used the single coupling hydromatic in Chevy trucks.

 

Not many. Most need an adapter. I'm thinking of a 700 for my 55 sedan.

 

yes with adapters alot of them work. the th350 can fit but a 2004r is almost the same length and you got od. had a 55 chev with 235 sold it to a guy in michigan he put a th 350 in it, hes real happy with it. i like the od myself
