no im not a dealer, just trying to find a better source for older tin.
a rocker arm motor is a monkey motion. think of a chimp running around with his arms in the air.

Now, now Rob! I think you've dodged the intro police long enough. Nine posts and no intro? Are you a Fed or something?

Now get out there and give up the goods (with pics of what you've got) and we'll tell you all about where to find cool cars. Otherwise it's back to the used Yugo lot for you, young man.

  5. Ah hell fhrob
I don't care about an intro as long as you got money to spend.
I got a couple of old heaps that would be just as happy at your place as mine. Drop me a note ifn you want.
But you really should introduce yourself. Kind of a tradition around here.
BTW I never have heard the monkey thing before.Must be regional speak.

i picked up the monkey thing out of one of my old man's hot rod mags. probally around 1958 and eightor Hot Rod or Rod and Custom. it was in the letters section.
checked out cars-on-line.com, thanks for the line, it has a good selection of cars. let me get some pics for an intro

  8. He filled out his profile well enough that we know who he is, I'm gonna count that as an intro.

That and the fact that he has now contributed the phrase "monkey motion" as a way to describe pushrod overhead valve engines. I now have a monkey motion Chevy V8 in my Ford, much more interesting than "SBC".
