Well forgive my OT daily, but a few weeks ago on a business trip to Springfield, MO, I did stop at the big rocker. Kind of cool for a quick stop on Route 66 bordering 44.

Great pics and story. Love the coupe. Thanks for sharing!

I did that 16 hour drive to Austin a couple of years ago on some new out of round tires. It sucked. If you do it again you should take the Arkansas route, it isn't much longer, but the roads are much better and not as grooved up as the Missouri route....

  11. It was nice talking with you at the A.S.S. hangout on friday. My brother is hooked now that your guys let him sit in the car to see if he was too tall or not. He's already talking about starting to collect parts!

We met on Saturday, at the Circle City booth. I just wanted to say how cool it was to listen to you and Jimmy talk about all of the big names ya'll have worked for and the high profile cars you've worked on. I didn't have anything to contribute to the conversation, but thanks for letting me a fly on the wall !

The coupe is awesome and it sounds like ya'll had a decent adventure. Thanks for documenting it.

Actually we thought that the Arkansas pavement sucked for the most part as we went that way on the way down to Austin. The main reason that we took the different route home was to try and stay well clear of the predicted storms.

  19. Sounds like a great trip, I love having the confidence to do 1,000 miles in a hot rod and not worry about anything. My Stude Powered Model A has done it several times.

    Congrats

    Hey guys,
That was Swander in his Bones car, and I was behind him, and you, in my sedan. It was a great day to be on the road in a hot rod.
