Columbo's ratty, Borgward Isabella convertible. Edit correction, its really, a ratty 1959, PEUGEOT 403 cabriolet Thanks to @40two for spoting the error!
One of my favorites, no surprise since I'm so crazy about '46-'48 Ford, is Phil Silvers' aka, Otto Meyer's convertible. They used two different year of cars for his scenes.
No photo from me but the local Stater Bros Markets used a few nice hot rods in there commercials in the LA area.
Used to include a red 40/41 pickup. IIRC one of the Stater Bros. big wigs ended up buying the truck used in the commercials.
Thought Columbo drove a Peugeot. O/T for here, but still unusual they used that car in the series, except to show how eccentric he was. Only car i've ever ridden in with a 4 speed column shifter. Leave it to Beaver with Fords, then the latest and greatest Mopars. Highway Patrol, too, equal opportunity car placement, Buicks, Fords, Mopars, etc.
Wow Danny @HOTRODPRIMER ...You outdid yourself this time (At least for me anyway)! Most all of the ones I would have posted have already been done & MANY on this thread shaped my idea of what I love in the cars I want! In fact two are still on my bucket list to this day ( The Saint'sP1800 Volvo & the late 50's Chrysler/Desoto Christine) Question as I cannot find it anywhere! Mid/Late 60's (I was probably 6-8 years old) a detective show that featured a woman detective ( I thought it was Ann Margret, but can't find anything linking her to it) she had a male sidekick & drove some type of roadster..Maybe Jag, MG. Again memories from that far back are fuzzy! Any help with the name of the show & what car she drove??? I know the Batmobile was already mentioned, but being a transporter, I get to be around & move a bunch of cool sh!t. This is me a few years back in one of the 4 original ones built by George! Yeah, Honey West featuring Anne Francis and a 289 powered 1964 AC Cobra , the show lasted one season. HRP
