I've been having fun with clay this week. The front row is new. Now I either have to learn how to do casting or get someone to do it for me. Dan
Holy Cow!, It's another good one. Since it's getting colder outside, I've been at the watercolors again. Introducing the mini collection. These little jobs take me about 1 to 2 hours to do cause they are a little hard to see. Anyway here they are..
k-member, those are incredible, especially at that scale. watercolor paper isn't *that* expensive ! seriously though, nice work!
Last but not least, heres one for the Pin Heads...Check out the stripes on the rear panle...Trying to go for the worlds smallest lines.
holy shit k-member, on that first pic I thought you had many pieces hanging on a wall,,,,,,,then I noticed the very large PENNIES..................thought for a few seconds................then I decided holy shit and I better read what you wrote, sure enough they are mini haha, very neat

Wow, good stuff as always... I've been outta the loop for a bit, but here's a sketch I did for a painting I'll be starting next weekend for a client. The finished piece will be 60"x 48" and in super vibrant colors, like the rest of my stuff. Stacey
PHEW!!! finally got to stripe something after nearly two months! i'm a bit rusty so the job was a little sloppy, but its my car so nobody is complaining! whaddya think??? it was my first 'public' job (in the parking lot at a local 'cruise in diner') drew a few spectators had a guy tell me i need to get cards made up and keep coming and striping on cruise nights. that was encouraging. sorta hard to see the reflex blue on black in the pic, but i think it looks cool in any light. it kinda colorshifts to a purple. closer-up
I just finished this 1928 BMW Dixie Altered model. I call it: With the German background and the biplane-style doped fabric wings, it's probably more show than go. I guess it's okay that I left the front fenders intact then. I saved all these images as 64-color gifs for a little different look. The chassis is AMT Doouble Dragster Fiat, as is the engine. The front suspension is Switchers T-bucket, as is the scoop. I like the hairpin gussets best.
Jester, 'I ain't got style and I ain't no hero'. Seriously I love all forms and styles of striping. My stuff that I do in the what I call my 'whimsical fantacy syle' section of my repertoire is just that. I generally just start those pieces on a whim, looking to create a totally abstract piece in a style that is so far removed from what I call my mainstream'50's hot rod style'. The beauty of my whimsical fantacy pieces is that they are so unique and very stand alone stuff. I know a lot of people don't toally understand them, but to me they are some of my favorite and best work works. Some of them I consider to be very 'significant' pieces' in my development as a striper. The sort of stuff that really pushes the boundaries for me. The sort of stuff that really comes from one's inner self. I wonder what a physco-analyst would see in them? They are almost in some cases totally removed from traditional striping. As I said a lot of people don't toally understand where I may be coming from with some of my stuff. But that matters not to me. I do this stuff for myself. Pushing myself to do different stuff, stuff that others aren't doing. It is good when people are inspired by my stuff and want to try 'that syle'. Because this is what creates other styles with in styles and helps to expand one's creativity. I create my stuff for me, not to turn a dollar on; my passion is for my works not for any financial reward. Sorry for the rant, I just got to write this stuff down for others to get an idea where I am coming from with this stuff. P Pan, I got a lot more diecast stuff I have to show, but that is for other Fridays. Hey this week's Friday Art has been a real good one, thanks for every one that has contributed, you are all and inspiration to me! Geoff akaWhodaky
Here's my Submission for this week.. a Pistriped XMODs (1:28 scale RC cars) body. The car was getting scratched up at work, so I striped mostly over all the scratches. So far everyone whose seen it likes it. Kinda wish I had some silver one shot. -Richard
