Nope, not in DC. Well...that is....unless you count making sure that YOUR car isn't stolen or vandalized as an activity.

I go there regularly, never seen anything HAMB-friendly, but take the metro to the suburbs, lots of stuff in Maryland, Virginia..

If you have a car you could come north less than two hour drive. AACA museum in Hershey PA. Eastern Museum of Motor Racing in York Springs PA. Pretty close to each other.

  5. you could get a sign, go down to Pennsylvania Ave. and protest all the legislation trying to be passed to ruin our car hobby and strip us of our freedoms. Perhaps, end with a burnout in front of the Whitehouse...should be good for a swarm of Secret Service Agents and a few Blackhawk helicopters

Yeah, don't go to DC without hitting the American History museum...the exhibits get changed around over time but they do get some cool car stuff in there. I remember going there back in hs and they had one of Don Garlits cars on display. And then there are the air & space museums. The metro is your friend.

In town don't miss the Smithsonian. Otherwise rent a car and get out of enemy territory.

Saturday there's an opening night cruise-in at Marley Station Mall in Glen Burnie, MD, about an hour away. It's usually one of the biggest and starts at about 4:00 PM.

Sun is the big Coming out Car Show in Charlotte Hall, MD. It's about 45 minutes south of the shity.

Other than that it's the Capitol of Big Government: Anti-automobile and Pro Cattle Car. They want everybody supporting their subsidized and failing transportation systems.

Lumpy, you can see planes at Air and Space, trains (and some cars) at American History. It's not a car town. It's a biker destination on memorial day. Otherwise, like these guys said, go to MD or PA. You may also want to hit the Library of Congress for old car books and mags. Unlike most other cities, all the museums are FREE.
