Anyone recognize this rail job?

Hiya folks.. Does anyone recognize this dragster? Original owner's name? Know what's painted on the roof? I have no connection with it... A Facebook friend posted the pic and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it.

You would have to find out what Progress United was. Was it a club or a sponsor?

The sedan appeared to be out of Hayward and I can't make out the crew names good enough to figure them out. Some of the Cal old timers should know though.

I dunno whose it is, but I'd SWEAR I saw the same car for sale on craigslist not long ago.
