This wheel came on my 51 Chevy. It looks like a 1949-52ish wheel, except there are no clips to retain the hub cap. It has the holes for the clips, but no clips or rivet remains. Maybe some model that came with full wheel covers?
did you look carefully for letters/numbers stamped on it? Chevy wheels usually say GM, and a few other things. look around the lug nut holes. Also aftermarket replacement wheels were available long ago, and were often used for a set of snow tires. You might never know.
Jim, I looked and didn't find anything. Would probably be easier to see if I bead blasted it. Just didn't want to spend the time on it. May blast it if I get more curious. Ray, It's 5" wide and looks just like a wheel that came on my car, except the other wheel has clips. Dave, It's got the holes like the 49-52 wheels and there are vendors that sell replacement clips. But I'm not building a stock type car so I don't plan to use it on my 51.
