Thank you 296 V8! My non-HAMB friend and I create 1/8- 1/5th scale hot rods and vehicles and the tricky part is always the rolling stock.Everything else can be carved, cast or created from found items.
This is an 8th scale fibreglass Willys coupe from the Madd Fabricator. Its sitting on a modified TDR chassis with a carb'd and blown 392 Hemi, four speed Lenco and Williams style rear end. Someone earlier mentioned George Zurowski. I have a collection of his parts and the model shown here uses one of his rare bellhousings.
This is a R/M deuce body sitting on a heavily modified chassis with IFS/IRS. It will be Jag Powered and rolls on metal wire wheels from Chris Garcia.
i have one each of the 1/8 3W and the5W roofs and i have 2 plastic bodys cut to fit them but man i didnt know how big a job it would be to get them to fit i need one of those resin willys
The driver is looking a little tired there, long day driving huh? That Willy's is a great platform to build a detailed model from, I may have to look for one. Doc.
Yeah, that's the little (10 week old) guy I found under my car one cold morning in the middle of October 2009.. He loves hangin' out with his master.. He's one of the coolest kats I've ever owned.
Nope.. I'm going to build it as a A/G gasser model.. I already stripped it down to nothing.. I need to build a chassis for it. I'll probably use the blown 1/6 scale GMP 392 hemi for it also...
I have two big deuces and a big tub that my uncle built back in the mid 60s,I want to build the newer version of the big deuce some day and mostly build 1/25 scale.
Yep!! All the Monogram and the newer Revell 1/8 scale T kits have the sbc.. The 1/8 Lindberg kits have the Ford Y-block motors..........
If I buy the newer big deuce it will get the flathead and the extra pontiac motor will be going in the big tub and I will take a hammer to the sbc,I always wanted to change the motor but I dont want to damage it in the process so I left it alone.
Y Block!! Now I see it!! For years I've tried to identify that engine. I always ASSUMED it was a generic engine Lindberg modeled up. And I even owned a 312 at one time!! Mike
I used one in my V3 deuce. I had to ask around, too, to figure out what it was - being a modeler more into Chevys and Mopars most of my life. Gary
They also have a wide variety of intake setups for the Exterminator dragster kit.. Last year they came out with a '25 Tall T coupe that I like... Great kit to modify and kit bash..
Uploaded with ImageShack Did this work? Still trying to load pics and not doing well. 1/8 scale early digger I built a few years ago.
Gary, you are an inspiration to me. My models always seem to only come close to the vision I have for them.
He don't fit inside that body shell anymore.. He's gotten too big for it since that photo was taken..
