I just traded my 1967 GMC pick up with an I-6 for a 1964 Chevy pick up with a SBC 283. It is pretty stock otherwise. I'm wondering if anyone has any pics or ideas for something like this even though it is not a short bed. I'll post some pics on monday. Suggestions welcome. Thanks, TD
here's my truck from 1987 or 1988 on the way to pate sway meet. had a 355 with a pg and small tubs in the back with n-50 tires. what a blast she was!
More of a driver than a project, but here she is. All I've done so far is moon discs and AC. Planning on lowering it next.
Man those are sweet. Hey Crease is that what you are bringing to pick mup your Roadster body? I hope I have mine by the time you get here. I found this one also on stovebolt maybe someone can photo chop it..it has potential
Here's one of a truck I used to own. Radical56chevy on here rebuilt it for our bro. didn't look that good when I owned it.
TD I drive the truck everyday, but tomorrow Im gonna borrow dad's pickup. His gets about twice the gas maileage that mine does. See ya tomorrow.
32 Limey Love that truck! Rims and stance are perfect. Where exactly is Sucksville? I get over to the land of fish and chips pretty often, but don't think I've ever been to Sucksville.
You have a few things that don't suck. Goodwood-Im told that dont suck Went to an automotive museum down south, had a bunch of old land speed cars. It was kinda like The Peterson for limeys. That place didn't suck. Now Italy, that place SUCKS!
six fo' 32 second ET ex-Uhaul. Getting a top end rebuild as we speak. Anybody got a line on a complete 5-lug rear axle for one of these in so cal? also, a 5-lug disc brake conversion parts? what are the years for that? The "rockeriffic" smoothies must go, I demand astro's and radial thin-whites... Its gonna end up being able to accellerate better than decelerate, I don't want to hit the back of Ricky's cherry ranchero.
Crease that place was The National Motor Museum, Beaulieu & yeah you're right it is pretty cool. www.beaulieu.co.uk if anyone wants a look. The front end swap with disc's from a later truck is real easy....everything just bolts right up, except two rear bolt holes that need to be drilled out! mine came from a 1980 C10 & the booster/cyl from a Camaro, just had to modify the operating rod to the pedal. The rear axle came from a late 70's Chevy van for slightly better gearing, then the re-drilled the stud pattern all round to 5 on 4-3/4 to suit the wheels i already had.
Hey Burndup, Man that looks cool! Thats the wheel and tire combo I'm looking for for my project. I'l take them off your hands when ever you do the change. Just let me know how much. By the way are those the factory wheels with some aftermarket caps or are they a wheel and cap combo??? TD
Here are some pics of my 1965 project parts chaser. Came with a SBC 307 factory 4-speed. Has quite a bit of surface rust but it is pretty straight. Immediate plans are front cross member and master cylinder from a '75 Chevy. any more ideas welcome... TD
