Great to see so many old MoPars finally getting the attention they deserve. I wonder how many are staying true and using MoPar drive train.
Nice '40, but having a lift, that's cheating ;), you're suppose to use jack stands, a creeper, and 1 of those POS shop lights shining in your eyes:p.

I'm doing a Chopped 48 Sedan with a 318, 46 2 door with a flat six, and a 37 2 door that I am still working out the driveline ideas on... as strange as it sounds I am thinking of a 3.3 v6 because the one in my dads 91 New Yorker has balls and incredible mileage! (and his car is heavier then my 37 lol)

Don't throw away that jack in the trunk. I paid $100. for one at Hershey in '95. But I don't think i'll ever use it, Does'nt look safe to me.

Just 'accidentally' bought a '38 Dodge pickup, so... might be whipping up a Mo Rod here pretty shortly.

bmc, was that valve cover gasket holder standard, or optional on the 40 Plymouth?
Looks like a SBC gasket, say it ain't so ?

Also... everyone has inline speed parts but me, I wish I could get some goodies for my Flat 6 Dodge and my 292 HO Chev without breaking the bank!

I love the /6, maybe the best engine ever to come out of Detroit, IMO.

OK, I am having an issue with my '53 Desoto. Its sporting a six backed by the M-6 semi-auto trans.

I took it out of the shop today and found that the car will not drive up any inclines unless you rev the engine and dump the safety clutch. Does anyone have an idea of what could be causing this? Low fluid level in the coupler?

Could very well be the fluid level.

    Nice thread!

I have currently two Mopars: A '50 De Soto that will stay a mild kustom for a long time (it's a driver) and a '49 Chrysler that may be my first kustom project (I have no welding and metal skills etc.) but I have the time for it...

    Here are some pics:
