I know I'm reaching. Even a vehicle with a similar shape would help. Just trying to figure out if this is too much overall diameter. Thanks in advance, Ryan
No pics to show at this time, but for reference´s sake, the OEM -tire dimension on an X-frame B-body Chevy (depending on bodystyle) would be 750x14-800x14, which equates to 27.02"-27,58" overall diameters. Your proposed replacement 235/75/15 equals 28,9" overall diam. As far as lateral clearance goes, the wider-bodied ´59-64 -styles will afford more negative offset on the ET of the rim used, (=lateral clearance on the outside of the wheel or, conversely, less backspacing) than the stand-alone ´58 -model. From a visual standpoint alone however, I would recommend something less bulky than a 235/75/15.
for more photos, look at my album. For a reference on size. look at my avatar. 225/75/15 on the fronts with 235/75/15 on the rears. i had to go with different size tires so I could have wider whitewalls on the rear.
