  4. I run old bias 8 ply 10ply rated 16teens on a 6 or 8 hole split rim. 3720 pounds single load rating ! They are old and I have never had a tire problem. See pictures. Plenty of air and slow speeds. I did burn out a wheel bearing on the 60 model once. The 60 thru 62 chev trucks had a fully boxed frames due to the torson bar front suspension. Im very familiar with the DOT. I have a CDL and drive a 18 wheeler. One ton and up are dot regulated. there is no weight limit on a half ton or 3/4 ton truck in arkansas. I didnt mean to be argumentive but is guess us old farts do come across that way? OldWolf

Old wolf I also didn't mean to be argumentative. I have this vision of dead cows spread all over the highway. In most states, over 10,000 you need a weight permit. If the vehicle has a weight limit on the door jamb it can't be exceeded also. I had a triple axle race car trailer with the same tires you have, the old 16- 8 ply split rims on a 6 lug, every 2 years I would blow one and put on a full new set. I hated that flap and tube, I ran with 2 spares and needed them both I also have a Class A CDL & own 4 trucks, the biggest is my L 8,000 Ford Aeromax. I don't need to do this because I just need a truck.
I understand what must be an Arkansas way of loading a truck !!

  6. back in my younger days I used to be a heavy hauler. Pulled a tri axle lowboy and a double gooseneck. I ve hauled loads grossing 180,000 Up and down these ark hill,s without jake brakes. I ve owned several trucks. A couple are out back junked. I currently drive a 98 extended hood pete It has all the crome, bells and wistles. 475 cat 13 speed pulling a 48 ft end dump. It has one million one hundred thousand miles on it. engine & drivetrain never been touched. Just oil changes every 10 thousand. Never had the valve covers off never has the overhead been run. It amazes me. The compueter controllled timing and injection makes the difference. You never see evn a puff of black smoke from the exhaust . And it averages 7 mpg. OldWolf

Depending on how you do the roof, a 5th gen El Camino rear window could be cool

Thank you for answering I'm sure that it would just depend on what or what you did the roof and sides flowing into the rear Quarters.

Hey! i totally love that one, but i had no idea it was an old kustom. What did it start life as?
I have a few pictures of it somewhere, its parked togheter w/ another mopar, i seem to remember a 4dor sedan w/ great paint, and "OG lil E" Ed '62 Buick.
    A fine trio that is.

Now, check this swiss '58 moredor chevy turned Elky, i think its bad ass. If i owned it i'd paint it in a more "serious" color but i think its got plenty potential nontheless.

A guy wanted me to cut the top off and smooth everything on his mint 57 Chevy hardtop 4 door so he could use as a ( parade car ,his words )LOL. The car was way too clean to do that to.I said I could do it but advised him not to go through with it since it was so nice. He bought from old lady, garaged all it's life low millage. Hope he didn't go through with it.

I think it was the last issue of streetrodder that had a small pic of a 58 camino. I think its the best one I've ever seen. It flowed like it was meant to be. Can someone put it up here? I gave the mag away already.
