Hot Rods Any info on this '28 highboy?

I recently bought this '28 highboy. It's a real Ford body on a real '32 chassis. It was owned by Dale Velzy, the surfboard guy, at one point. It has some connection with the Outriders Club in California too I believe. Any Outriders in HAMB land?
I'm interested in the history before Velzy got it, who built it and when. It had split wishbones before the P&J 4 bar was installed. It has a custom made 4 link with a transverse leaf in the rear.

 

A bump for the evening crowd, any Outrider members out there?

 

@Cyclone Kevin do you know anything of this car - it looks vaguely familiar to me.

 

I remember the car, but he didn’t drive it much in his later years. I’m sure we have some pix of it it in our OUTRIDER history somewhere?????
