You're makin' me feel old, man. I shot it for Street Rodder when it had the slots, and we ran it in RD when I was there . . . when you were a KID. Damn.

Frank -- you build anything after you sold the 5W to Setzer?

Steve.

2. Was going to make a separate post for this one but decided to add it here.Just took the pics this afternoon.A stocker that was restored several years ago but with 'glass fenders.Everything else is original and it was just acquired for less than the price of a repop body.

WOW, that a nice coupe, I hope that's yours.. I'm kinda a restorer [IMG] so I dig the restorods. I didn't think there were so many uncut ones out there.. It's great to see them unchopped, but I do like them both ways..

I wish it was mine but unfortunately it belongs to a good friend. He just bought it the other day.It still has the B engine that runs very well after replacing the front rope seal.It was restored in 1998 and has seen little use since then.
He was thinking about street rodding it but after the input he's received from myself and several others,I think it's going to stay the way it is.Everything works great including the mechanical brakes. What is not readily apparent in the picture is the fact that ALL the body lines are near perfect as far as alignment goes;I don't believe this car has ever been hit.The fenders are fibreglass replacements but who cares?I'd own the car in a heartbeat and leave it unmolested;it's too nice to cut up.

Damn Ray, that's a great looking 5w. Do you have any idea if it was nice before the restoration started or is it full of lead/bondo/patches? Either way if it's cared for it will look like this for a looooooong time.

This one DOES IT for me......... [IMG]

I would remove the cowl lights, put the bumpers back on and a 25 vent hood.......
And drive it to my grave...

When I get a 3W, not if, that's what I want it to look like

Thanks...Randy

Here's a scan from an unknown issue of Hot Rod, probably mid '60s. (Used to have my bedroom wallpapered with this stuff.)

More coming later.
