hey all ive done alot of reading on the T5 stuff and the posts on here dedicated to it. Well i found a transmission locally to me pretty cheap so i had the guy get the tag number (1352-258). According to 5speeds.com it comes up that its out of a 1998 izusu rodeo. I dont see anything on these as if it were to bolt up to a gm bellhousing or not. Is this an option to put behind a sbc or should i look for s10 transmission

GM Bolt pattern. May need to adjust length. If you have the fine spline, discs are available from Speedway. Verify the pilot bearing. Yes, the Izusu units are the World Class(stronger) units. Hope you got the matching tailshaft yoke with it as well.

drtcrV-8 I haven't purchased it yet but its a complete transmission. The guy is asking $300. I want to put a 5 speed in a 34 ford pickup I just acquired. Not sure if this is best option for shifter location. Also it appears to have the electronic speedo connection, not sure if its able to be changed to mechanical. May just use phone for speed or get a GPS speedo. Here's a picture of the actual transmission

Not Chevy front pattern, shifter is probably too far back for most early Fords.

All t5 WC after about 1993 were Ford bellhousing pattern. Shifter is between Camaro and S10. I don't know what the input matches up with.

That's a Ford bellhousing pattern case.

By the time Both Warner was swallowed by Tremec, they were all Ford patter, no matter what brand they came in.

    What engine are you using?

gimpys. putting a complete sbc my dad pulled from one of his 57's. it was a three on the tree setup. so this T5 is out of the question, because i was hoping to bolt up to the existing bellhousing on the engine and ditch the clapped out 3 speed

An S-10 trans is still farther back than a stock Ford. Anything further might be between the seats.

Shifter tower too far back, oddball version...would pass on it. Chevy versions are not hard to find, be patient.
