How much coolant do you put in the puke can? My old plastic wrecking yard special just had to go, but it had a mark on it “fill to here”, but the new fancy 3x13 aluminum one…..? Any info greatly appreciated.

I simply fill my radiator to the brim
when the engine heats up it fills the overflow bottle
when the engine cools down it magically goes back into the radiator

I usually put enough coolant in the bottle to make sure the end of the hose stays submerged in coolant. I dont want it to suck air back into the radiator.

Make sure to have the correct style cap for a recovery system, They are different than a standard pressure cap.

The difference is that the outer seal on the cap is rubber, instead of metal. But I dare you to find an old style non-recovery cap today, they've been out of production for a long time as far as I know.
