Welcome, and don't lose sight of the fact that this hobby is supposed to be about driving hot rods and having fun. It's not about everybody having to have old-style hot rods with rare and unique parts that haven't been seen in decades. This ain't a competition. Some of these guys have been in this for 40 or even 50 years, and some literally have enough money to pick up a phone and have a car built to their specifications. Most here won't because this is not that type of site, but they COULD if they wanted to.

On the other hand, you are a young guy starting out in life, and you are also living in a foreign country where those rare and obsolete parts are very expensive or impossible to find. Do NOT let this get in your way. Build a fiberglass kit kit like a T-bucket or a Track T,and power it with a local 4 cylinder drive train out of a Escort,Volvo,or similiar car. You ain't out to win the Oakland Rodster Show, you are out to build a car, learn a little, and have a lot of fun. A car on the road you can afford to build and drive beats the hell out of 3 unfinished high-dollar projects sitting in your garage that you will never drive. If you have your heart set on a certain style and powertrain for your "dream hot rod",you can always start on that after you get your fun car on the road to drive and enjoy. So what if it takes you 10 years to get your dream car up and going? You will have had a hot rod to drive and enjoy and to inspire you the whole time you were saving money, searching for parts, and building that dream ride.

Ok,I'm off the soap box now.
