I'd like to say hey to everyone...I'm from a little town on the Mississippi river Called "Americas Home Town". I've got a 48 chevy 1/2 ton with a 327 in it. I also have a 1930 model A coupe...and would like to get some advice from you guys. The car is a stock rust free car. I drive it as is, and really enjoy it...but the motor could use a rebuild, and I have a bone stock 67 283 with 80,000 original miles. I know this is going to sound crazy...but do they make an adaptor that would hook the 283 to the "A" transmission? I know that I should change the whole drive train, but I don't want to do any cutting on the car, because I want to be able to put it back stock if I want to. You need to understand...I'm not going to go out and drag race this thing. I plan on driving it just like it was a stock car. I just think I could get out in traffic, and have a better chance of not getting run over.I would like to at least drive it "TO" the H.A.M.B. drags. Just let me know what you think. Sorry I went on so long...It takes me an hour and a half to watch 60 minutes. All the best to you and yours. Thanks, Sonny LIFE'S A GAMBLE...LET EM' ROLL
