Just signed up. I've been hanging around Hot Rods since I was born, since my dad was a B/Gas racer at Indy. I've had lots of muscle cars and customs, but I'm venturing into new territory. Just bought a 1942 Ford Special Deluxe 2 door sedan. So far, I know it has a Nov. 1941 build date, and was used by the US Navy during WW II. It has a 1949 Flathead V8, the original V8 was pulled by a previous owner.
I'm a drag racer, so I'm deciding how to go about this build. Fun street rod, semi-original or straight axle gasser?

  2. Welcome to the HAMB. You don't see many 42's maybe you could post some pictures of it. I'm not a big fan of original, and street rods. So my vote is a Hot Rod. Keep us posted, and enjoy your HAMB time. Thanks Ron....
