got a new tailgate from npg. not as bad as everyone says. fit good and blocked out nice. its only on primer for now, but fit is good as is. got the hood all shaved of unwanted stuff, and primed up also. awaiting to blast my latches then paint all the hood hardware up.
also installed a new chrome front bumper.

other then that just been driving the piss outta her.
logged about 4k miles so far.

Am I counting correctly, you got all this done in around 5 months or so? Amazing. Do you work a regular job and work on your projects after hours? I can't seem to get even a 1/3 of that much work done in 5 months!!! Great build and again, I need to get back on my 63 Unibody. Are you going to be at The Roundup this year, I would love to check it out!!!

Thanks see ya at the lsru!

Basically really worked on it solid for about 3 weeks. Haven't touched it for the past few months .I have a shop and worked on the truck long days to get thus far. Planned it out that I had customers projects in down states so I could take the time to work this in.

The tailgate is from national parts group. I believe it's a Dennis carpenter product. Like I said it is pretty good. I've read bad words about them, but for 400 bucks,by thevtime you buy metal, fab it all it just didn't seem cost effective for this project to build one. If yours is at that level, then maybe a custom one is in order. But I have a feeling most that bitch can't do any better.

I will be at lsru in the uni this year, unless someone needs it more then I do!?

Ryno, I just came upon your build. Great job. I built mine several years ago and thought I had the only one around. Mine is low but yours is really on the ground. I "Cd" the frame and flipped the spring perches on the rear and used a Chrysler Cordoba front end. Keep it up.

Thanks fellas, for the good words.
I've been busy with other stuff and just been driving the ol girl. I have been slowly working on getting the design together fir the center council ,but that's about it.

Hopefully next week install the hood and finish up the stereo and council.

yes the ol girl will be Austin bound in a few weeks!

no shit, that flake sure makes a mess, especially in 20- 30 mph winds.
    destroyed my pile up t!

thought maybe, just maybe if i threw some flake on my arms, i might, and i stress might, be half as cool, as the coolest mother fucker i know!

see ya in austin, as always if you want to get a little closer to austin, your more than welcome to crash at the pad for teh night.

  22. I think metal flake is closely related to anti-seize. Such a small amount gets spread all over the shop and lasts for months after you use it.

Reminds me of a Dancer I use to date. She left glitter behind everwhere she touched something :D Great progress on the truck man. I'm digging those uni bodies.

  27. Yeah, unless something bad comes up. I am bringing Anthony's 3W out.

NeedLouvers? is supposed to come out too with some samples and stuff. We are intending to throw my 57 Triumph and Chips CB350 in the bed of the truck to bomb around town on. Little more cool than stylin' in the 03 Silverado! :D
