Test you radiator for exhaust gas,s a radiator shop should have the tool,
This insures no cracked head or a head gasket

Throwin this out there but had a new radiator once from a foreign country and ran warmer than the one i replaced, but the cores on the old rad were so badly ate up it seemed a fly would hit it and it would cause a leak so i replaced it with a cheap replacement but after a few years i developed a leak in the top tank and the radiator shop i took it too for repair called me in and let me see that what seemed like close too half the cores on a 3 core were plugged in the soldering process when new, anyways they cleaned the solder out of the plugged cores and soldered the tank back on and what a difference it made.

spacer is on and i will get some wheel time tomorow...

i totally get the thermo stat thing... when it was out, it took like 30-45 minutes to get hot... seems like most of my driving is city and all, so fuck the thermo (maybe hahah)

with the plexi on, the spacer made a HUGE HUGE HUGE difference with the old "can it hold a piece of cardboard" test.. it holds nicely now, didnt hold shit before.. so im pretty sure taht will be the problem solver.. johnny made the spacer GREAT, i worked it a tiny tiny bit for a perfect fit, and its on and spins dead straight... im VERY happy, a great friend!

what exhaust you runnin? cant tell from the pic. make sure it isnt too restrictive. my 58 was doin the same thing, turned out the ramhorns were too restrictive and holdin all the heat in the heads. just a suggestion, since no ones brought it up.
