Anyone ever refinished the aluminum trim that trims out the headliner? We are putting Century trim in our 57 buick special that goes along roof rails and two bars across the headliner appears to be clear coated that has yellowed and scratched, was thinking of using stripper but not sure if that would have any affect on the polished aluminum surface as a stain? Then re apply a clear coat.

  2. its probably anodized, like a clear coat for Alluminum. A bunch of the trim on my 59 Chevy is like this.

EZ-Off oven cleaner will remove the anodizing so you can polish it, then it would need to be re anodized or clear coated.

    Good Luck.
