Here's an update on the Real Wheels project. For the past couple of years I have been helping Pat O'Brien as a consultant, and am still a dealer. Since Pat bought Eric Vaughn's original molds, they have all been updated to produce even higher-quality castings, and new molds have been made for more sizes and styles of classic racing wheels. Pat has also changed the company name to Real Rodders Wheels. On May 19, a large shipment of polished aluminum Real Rodders Wheels arrived. They are now in stock in popular bolt patterns in 14 by 6, 15 by 5 1/2, 15 by 8, and 15 by 10. Real Rodders Wheels will again have a booth in the vendors area of the L.A. Roadsters show in Pomona on June 17 and 18. The full line of wheels will be on display, including two new styles of wheels that the company is getting ready to introduce: no-window smoothies, and small-windows. Getting all sizes and styles of the aluminum wheels in full production is the top priority, but hopefully before the end of the year, the magnesium wheels will be in production, including 16 by 12 magnesium wheels for Nostalgia Top Fuel racers. Here's a page about Real Rodders Wheels with lots more information and some prices: http://www.roadsters.com/real/ I try to stay away from the computer on weekdays, so if you have any questions about these wheels, please phone. Thanks. Dave Mann (602) 233-8400 weekdays [email protected] http://www.roadsters.com/
Very nice Dave. When you get the magnesium wheels up and running i'm a player. I need a set of big window 15 x 10's. Doc.
Would love to see some pics of the no-window and small-windows when they are available. I've been thinking about some Wheel Vintique gassers, but would like to see these before deciding.
yeah more pictures of the new versions, the pics up there isn't that "just" of the big window version?
The three pictures above are the only pictures of the newest wheels the company has released so far. As soon as pictures of the other styles of wheels become available, I will add them to this thread and the web page. Earlier today, I added a bit to the page about them: http://www.roadsters.com/real/ Thanks a lot for the interest. Dave Mann (602) 233-8400 weekdays http://www.roadsters.com/
