Very nice! what are the TBs from? they look huge! what ECM are you using?
I used Suzuki GSXR 600 TBs for my N* project. I wanted the Hilborn look, and they work great.

    Cheers,

One way is to go to the bottom of the page, click "post reply" then "manage attachments" use the browse buttons to find the images you want to post. You may have to re-size the images before posting. A 400 x 600 .jpg image works well. These will go in as thumbnails that can be enlarged by the viewer by clicking on the thumbnail.

These are my cars. The Gold 68 Chevelle was my first car. The truck is a 40 Dodge with a bunch of tastefull misc parts going on it is my newest project. Then my 68 Chevelle that Ive been working on for the past 4yrs that still needs an expensive paint job then put it together.

Hi OldCrow: Thanks! Those are ford/ merc 4.6l v8 71mm tb's. Using Mega Squirt cu. I need to score some 40 lb/hr injectors, the pricey part. Do you have it running yet? Irish

How were you planning to get in and out?

I started a somewhat similar project a couple years ago, but then decided to go another route. the body still resides in the yard, so maybe someday I'll change my mind again.

Nothing real special on my end .... 1973 Volkswagon Bug, 1600cc dual-port engine, '78 transmission. Mechanicals are fine, interior needs a little work. (Yes, I visit TheSamba on occasion, although I'm not signed up there yet.) That's my rat pocketbike sitting in front of it.

    As for The Rat .....:

And a recent build, The Re-Cycle: custom-built minibike from recycled metal and spare parts. The frame and forks are tire irons and 1/4" plate, with bicycle kickstand crossmembers and a cutdown office keyboard track for an engine plate. The upper engine mount and tank mounts are 1/4" wrenches, and the footpegs are the ends from a fireplace set. The Re-Cycle rolls on 4" goped wheels, powered by a 47cc pocketbike engine. Oh, and the bike is 28" long and stands between 12"13" at the top of the frame.

Well, I finally found some time to work on the truck. I have been moving across the country/buying a house/trying to sell a house/changing jobs/dealing with family.

I changed out the wheels, organized parts, made some lists, talked to the family about time to work on it and so on. here's what it looks like as of last night.

    Here's a pic of my 40 chev p/u. It's got a jimmy 6cyl with a 6-71 blower. One day it'll be red...I hope.

  27. Let's see a pic of the drivers side of the motor. I'm interested in how you built your intake manifold.

Sorry Robert56, but I think this is about the best picture I have of the intake when I was still in the install process. It started life as a cast aluminum manifold that was supposed to mount a 4-71 blower vertically. I took it and the engine to a machine shop and had a plenum built and welded to the cast piece that mounted the 6-71 blower horizontally. The original blower manifold came from the old stovebolt company. It was the last one he had and he found it buried on a shelf in the back when I called. I guess I lucked out. I also had a pop-off plate spring loaded on the side of the manifold just in case the motor decides to backfire.
