airbrush t=shirts

I am having a ball airbrushing some old t-shirts in the garage. my question is I have been using water base paint will it wash out the 1st time it's washed ? if so I have heard something about ironing with wax paper would help ? Should I use a different paint?

 

Water born paint will work especially acrylic, and heat seating will help.
However I like water based textile dyes, the kind found in craft stores.
I find once dry they are softer and last longer. Keep on having fun with
that airbrush.
