What is the dimension most of you are running between the front of the running board and the back of the rear fender? I'm cutting down an X cab S 10 frame and need to know about how close those should be.

I'm looking at making the wheel base 117.5" rather than the stock 116". This should move the wheels where they need to go but I don't want to go so far back that the gap looks stupid.

Next time I just use a long bed cab...

The gap is usually 3//8 to 1/2 inch. Close but not tuching.

Thanks. I'm seeing some that are 1 - 1 1/2" and it looks too big for me. How far should the bed be from the cab?

The bed on mine is about 3/4 inch from the cab at the center. Not too hard to adjust at the bed mounts.

Thanks for the info, Jerry. I'm doing the S10 frame swap. Well, it would be a swap if it had a frame to begin with...I've looked at the AD-Engineering kit but for a grand I can do an aweful lot of fab work on my own. Heck, I can buy myself a nice new welder and still have $300 to make my mounts! I just need a few dimensions to work it out.
