    Jack,
You and Mika are dedicated, creative craftsmen, and what a tidy workshop. I am amazed at the desire that you possess, to build that roadster with the restrictions in your country, and the commitment to bring it over here,to enjoy with us. Those are interesting water pumps on your engine, much different than we have here. Good luck with your project, I will be following this one!

    Thank you Marty ;)
For the tidy, it is a professional deformation, may be a T.O.C for me (obsessive, compulsive, disorder) ..... :D

The water pump is different from Ford. she is shifted. they work with two belt.
first: one water pump, fan, crankshaft and second, second water pump, generator and crankshaft.
You can install on the frenchflat, the water pumps Ford,
but I need two long belt to try to install my compressor (from Citroën DS)

20 years, I wish come to the U.S.. I was waiting for the right moment, I think this trip comes with the Belgian belly tank team.

I hope you understand my gibberish

FrontStcuston, Captainjunk#2, coucou Wizordkustomart, Olderchild Jack ;) thank for your welcome.

After one year of waiting and searching. I bought this body A 30/31.
It is not in good condition, it is built with pieces of several car, some different parts will be changed. But no choice, I should not pass up.
A new body is too expensive to import, and they do not have souls like a vintage. But for sure, there will be many more hours of work...

  11. Welcome FrenchJack!
Normandy! Now that's French and American history!
Great build - keep the pics coming...

I do have a question I've wondered for years... Read before about France and other places in Europe where it's "illegal" to modify a car (?). Even illegal to build your own car and run it on the public streets. Just wondering how these laws work? What kind of things are frowned upon?? How does one evade these laws??? How tough is the local gestapo?

Looks like you're off to a good start!

But when it comes to registration, can't you register the car in a "friendly" country and import it back with all the modifications written down in the title? Because if a car is registered in one European country, it can automatically be registered in another (kit cars and assembled cars excepted). I think that goes for modified cars too?

Yes it is forbidden to modify or build his car here. For the safety of the other road user. Cops close their eyes on the custom wheels, more big tires, bumper ... But if you have a serious accident, Insurance can be turned against you. and you must pay for the damage. (sell your cars, your house ... for paying ...) in extreme
Fortunately, we have worked with an insurer who is agrees to insure our hotrod.
the problem are the cops, but if you have a hotrod well done, not too much noise (damage) the good license plate format that you ride without making donuts ... it usually goes. Especially as it is not here culturally, they do not know the difference between a 34, 32 or A This is why I can put a flathead in my roadster.
But it is cool here, the fender is obligatory for the car after 1936.:D
but with the mode (overdue here) with the rat's is not good for us in this momment

not so simple here, europe it works for pay more ...(to fatten the pigs Financial... oops sorry it just came out ) but to win an avantage it is not the same ...
I can not have a classic title on an old car imported. A collection title only. They are specialists of the old car, which gives the title (picture, original title... and MOT for control if necéssary). They realize very quickly that is one hotrod. He does not like the hotrod, for them we ransack a old car. They are original bolt purist.
