Oh, what a sad day. Our condolences go out to his family and friends. The first time I met Mikey in 2006 coming up a long way from the cold Northern Germany to his garage and home in San Diego, California. It was like a dream had come true, when I watched Mikey working on a yellow 31 5 window coupe. It was this perfect picture that got stuck in my head and gave me inspiration. We will never forget you Mikey. Buco "Lifters Germany" & Nadine
On behalf of the So Cal Chapter of the Road Devils C.C., I would like to send our deepest condolences to his family and all of you Lifters out there....Rest In Peace.
Sorry to hear this. Mikey came by my place with Rogue a few years ago. Nice guy with a passion for htis old car stuff. He'll be missed. Neal
sounds like the kind of guy you want to have waiting on ya on the other side. Glad to hear you got to share in his time here too.
Mike's Model A Pickup has been the background on my PC for a couple of years. I use it for inspiration every day. It sounds like he gave at least as much as he took. Godspeed, Mikey!
Wow what a bummer. I hadn't seen him since the Tiki show down here, and just expected to see him at the Big 3 this weekend. Always had something cool going on. Dang. RIP Mike
Mikey was the guy that would Always say (YES we can) and he meant it!! He always had a good word to say about you and your Friends, to me he was my Friend over the years I came to know him and just talking to him would make you smile. So now he has gone before us to see over the hill that we can not. But I know when it's my turn and I look over that hill I will see my Friend looking back at me a saying what took you so long? So to all my Brothers in the Lifters Mikey not gone hes just waiting for us over the hill he's a head of us all looking back with a smile , And if you know Mikey you know what I'm talking about. RIP my friend BOB and all the ACEScc

It pains me to see people full of life loose theirs and some abuse life and keep living.....RIP Mikey...way to young.....
Sorry to hear about this Miguel. Mikey was a good kid and It was always great hangin out with him. Im glad I got to know him and he definitely will be missed! We'll have some beers for him on friday. R.I.P. Mikey
I think what made mickey special was that he had the enthusiasum of a 15 year old, and the wisdom of a 70 year old . He always hung out with the old guys for he always had a thirst for knowlege, I remember telling mickey, when buying parts from the old guys , never ask them for the golden parts first, first you got to buy the heavy crappy parts and when you done sweeping their garrage, they will sell you the golden parts a piece at a time as you earn their friendship, and then they will start to share their golden secrets on how to build an early v-8 chasis correctly, every time you bark your knucles or blow up your 39 box, they will give you another secret, for you have to earn them like sargent stripes, one at a time. Mickey learned well , for he built many a A-v8 car for his friends . Mickey was a plumber by trade and boy , could he throw some pretty brake lines.
Very sad news. I met Mikey on the first ranch run and I would see him at just about any car event I travelled to (even at the Watson Lake swap meet in AZ one year). He always treated me well and it was always good to see him. Something will be missing at Big 3 this year. Rest in peace Mikey.
