It DOES look like Torosian in the photo. I wonder if he had a hand in building the car, and that's Torosian in the photo with Dederian's car? Here's the best contemporary photo I could find of Torosian, in the passenger seat with Blackie Gejiean: Here's another taken in 1947, and Torosian appears to be wearing the same style of jeans and shoes as in Ryan's original photo: It's a bit hard to tell for sure, though, since Ryan's original photo is taken from a different angle. In profile, Torosian's prominent nose is a dead giveaway. It's harder to tell if that's him from the front. It sure COULD be him:
