So I was browsing the local c-list the other day and came across an ad for a 1952 Oldsmobile Super 88 2 door. The ad didn't have any pictures, and this is usually a deal breaker for me. But that day something told me to go ahead and send a quick email. Soon there after I received an email back from a nice gentleman who had recently lost his father and was trying to find new homes for some of his projects. He sent a few pictures of the car and to my surprise it was a 2dr ht.

It seemed to be in fairly decent shape. After talking back and forth for a bit I found out it came with a 2 door post parts car and a bunch of spare parts. The transmission was fresh out of the rebuild shop. The motor had a vat and mag job done. And there seemed to be duplicates of nearly every part for the car. After a short discussion we came to a price that both parties felt happy with. I sent him a check due to the cars being on the other end of the state. I plan on making two trips up this weekend and getting them both home so the fun can start.

I am very thankful that the seller is allowing me the opportunity to continue his fathers dream. He told me his father has had the car since 1983.(my entire life) I'm beyond thrilled the stars aligned just right for me to be the caretaker of this car for a time. I feel like we never really "own" them as much as we just see them along their journey for a moment.

So as soon as I get them home I will share some more pictures.

Nice score and it's great to have all those spare parts-use the best and sell the rest!

I am also tossing around the idea of a nascar inspired build on the post car somewhere down the line.

Just made it home with the hardtop. Pretty solid car, but the chrome is all pretty rough.
