I did the firewall, floor, doors and the back of the cab with FatMat Rattletrap. On top of that I added FatMat floor Liner from the top of the firewall to the seat, and used a Dynamat product under the seat to the back of the cab. Jute and carpet went on top of that. Heat and road noise are greatly reduced, IMHO it was money and time well spent.

I like old cars. I like that they squeak, rattle and rumble when driving them. So why make them super quiet. If you have a heater and air-conditioning, why insulate them so much. How often do you drive it when it`s 104 or -3 out. For the last 7 years, I haven`t had a radio in my car. I do drive it a lot. Heat and air don`t work either. I enjoy hearing the sounds of the car. About 25 years ago. A big name auto magazine did a sound proof test. There finding was a wood floor with house hold carpet pad worked the best for quietness and heat reduction.

I did a 57 wagon with the 2 step Lizard skin system. It's a job to do but worth it . I have the gun . I use it to spray bed liner the stuff you buy from the parts store that's supposed to be rolled in. Just put painters plastic over the truck and you can do a bed in 5 minutes.
