I'm not sure it would be a good idea to run Lucas with a 20-50 oil. Mobil 1 is one of the best of synthetic oils because of it's anti wear characteristic's but is not generally good for older style engines which have much looser fit tolerances than todays engines. The Lucas product is a thickener which will make it's viscosity the same or better than a heaver weight oil. The oil pump I'm using is completely stock And is totally sufficient. I do not run my flatty over 5000 rpm and I doubt that you will ether .
