Bought a new ford 9'' rear. When trying to put the axles in using axles from same mfg, they won't go all the way in the tube. Do i have to press a race in.? I remember stock ones just slid into the tube an tighten the 4 bolts. Mine are sticking out 3/8 in?
Welcome from Indy. Wrong place for this post. Try the main board for better luck. If the axles are the same spline at least one of them should slide in. If the chunk has a posi unit one side can be more difficult. You know that stock axles come in 28 and 31 spline...right?
