85' 302 Engine into a 54' Packard..Rear end Compatible?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Tattedkat, Apr 29, 2009.

  1. I had a 1985 Ford 302 with an AOD tranny mounted into my wifes 54' Packard Clipper. I was wondering If someone knows what gear ratio the 54' Packard rear end is? And if it would be compatible with the 302 and AOD. Also, Does anyone know what size the Straight 8" engine and tranny I took out the Packard is? Its a Big Ass Block and I'm thinking about Keeping it to rebuild for a Hot Rod. Thanks for the help guys.

  2. If the rear end is not compatible, which would you suggest?
