I've got a 41 Plymouth truck, I just got a 8.8 Explorer rear end that has a sway bar on it, would there be any noticeable difference using the sway bar over the stock setup

I'm looking at the same setup for my 1946. What ratio did you go with?

Most cars/trucks that have REAR sway bars also have a FRONT sway bar.
With no bar in front you can have the rear come around real quick in a tight high speed turn.

  4. To add to this. In general a front bar increases understeer, a rear bar increases oversteer. You should always use a front bar (and typically bigger size diam) if you use a rear bar.

I'm going with 3.73, t-5 transmission so I can have the overdrive and I have a 315 Hemi that I'm planning on using.
