I have an Edelbrock MLp61 6x2 for my 62 389 and have some questions about the design vs other 6x2's on the market. So basically I was wondering why does my intake have 3 crossovers when other designs only have 2,.... like a lot of the Drag Stars? Also,....my crossovers are almost 2' in diameter when my last Drag Star's crossovers were 1/2 that diameter. Does my MLP-61 have any advantages or disadvantages to having 3 large crossovers,......or does it all depend on the engine that it was designed for? Thanks for your thoughts on the matter.

Here's similar design log intake with those large diameter balance tubes. Don't know the science behind it and other versions with only two (2) tubes and smaller diameter.
