69th annual Grand Natl. Roadster Show-Pt. 1 Jan. 28, 2018 Fairplex, Pomona CA Greetings! Dropping in to share 124 images (in 4 groups of 30 images) captured with my digital "Point & Shoot" camera while roaming the grounds & exhibition halls from AM to PM while spectating at the 69th annual Grand National Roadster Show. The Rodshows production was held once again at the L.A. County fairgrounds (A.K.A. "The Fairplex") in Pomona, CA over the weekend of Jan. 26-28, 2018. There was lots to see both indoors and outdoors, with many vendors and cars displaying inside the buildings as well as outside between them in the sunny, unseasonably warm So. Cal. sunshine. After passing on selling at the Modesto, CA Model A Ford Turlock swap meet at the Stanislaus County fairgrounds this year during the Saturday of "Grand Natl. Roadster Show" weekend, me & my older bro' went on Sunday as usual, but we drove & parked inside the show grounds with my '41 Ford 4dr. taxi "Moby", parking between the "Suede Palace" exhibition building and the fairgrounds "Fiesta Plaza". I'd been told there was a virtual "sea of spectators" on Sat., but despite the great outdoor conditions, Sun. attendance seemed to be an even smaller crowd than usual. Oh well, worked out great for taking pictures inside & outside and those who didn't make it (or couldn't) missed out on another great show. There was lots of variety to scope out from cool to hot, radical to unusual, smooth to edgy, rods & customs, 4 wheels & 2 wheels, painted or patina'd, driven to trailered and everything in between. Many stock original and restored muscle cars from the 1960'-70's were housed in one exhibition building alone as well as a large group of radical Latin-Lowriders & "Bombs" to add to the diversity of the show. However, the forthcoming groups of photos I've shared here on the Jalopy Journal for all "HAMB'ers" to view will be more akin to "H.A.M.B-style" subject matter. So if you missed the show, there's a good chunk to check out here. Hope you find something to your liking; Enjoy the view! PRE48V-8|;^] The "Suede Palace"
