Not very often that I post on here, but pretty excited about my "shed find". Well sort of a shed find, see a friend and fellow HAMBr jagfxr1949 had it stuffed in his shed. I was digging it from the first time I saw it. He mentioned he was going to sell it, some discussing and a deal was struck. Pretty excited about getting this cleaned up, running and start cruising in it. Thanks Jag!!
Nice! I was hoping jag would keep it around for a couple years untill I have "extra" money, but that would be pretty inconvienent haha. And i think for it to be a "find" very few people need to know about it.
looks like allen did you right! that looks like a really clean station wagon so get it running and bring it to the next H&E.
Off the trailer and a bath today. I'll try to get some good pictures of the rear sliding roof tomorrow and post them. 50 Stude/Sam - there may be a Dork work party in the near future to get her up and road worthy.
I hear Ron Smith is having a Stude swap meet at his house in Tacoma this weekend. Might be a good place to get some parts for your great wagon.
64 Studes built in canada had a all cream-colored steering wheel while South Bend ones had two-tone steering wheels (usually interior color and a wite section at the top & bottom). Unless somebody swapped parts, it appears it has a South Bend steering wheel on it in the pictures.
Haven't dug too far into it to determine whether it was Southbend or Canada. Does have the two-tone wheel as HeatherMarie pointed out. Got it vacuumed, cleaned the seats up. Has the 259 in it. Got a bunch of stuff to do before I try to fire it up. Will try to drop the tank and get it cleaned and ready to use in the next week or so. Knee deep right now in body and paint on my dads roadster. Here are some more pics of the rear sliding roof.
