I was at this race and the Atlanta Speed Shop dragstrip, east of Atlanta. Pics added later.

I think it was Hayden's car that only sold for 120 grand on mecum last night..... Wrong crowd I guess.....
Jack Chrisman powers the Sachs & Sons Mercury
Don't sell that Falcon short, it's bitchin'.
Oh it will be once it’s back together..just hope I can keep my license from getting tarnished
That bottom pic is just cool!
does any one know if the Hayden Proffitt car was sold at mecum.
It sold. Picture attached. Like most of the cars in that collection it was too nice. Real race cars back in the day were rough, not real shiny, and marginal construction especially after a few races. I noticed many over restored race cars with new style decals instead of period correct decals. Makes me wonder how much of these cars were from the original race car and how much is new fabrication.
If only those back wheels were a little narrower...but damn a SOHC motor and all that bad assness....

It was owned and driven by Jimmy DeVault in 1965 and 1966. After that, I don't know.
That’s a killer Comet
The guy has a private collection no visitors normally but I think this was a Hemmings article and they got in.
Check out this site if you are looking to purchase a car that looks like it is right out of the 60's and ready for the drag strip.
Love your car Six Gun. What transmission are you running? How about ET and speed?

This car was for sale...at a real reasonable price ( I think around 12K ) it resides in Australia now and the guy that owns it has put stock suspension under it due to laws over there. He’s also building a killer 63 Fairlane..I’ve always dug the car and it’s got me thinking about tinting my side glass blue..
Paleface was owned and raced by Bob Beck in 1967.
Found this pic of Mutleys Comet on IG...bad ass little hot rod
Really? I have no idea how/why. I don't even own a cellphone (no, I'm not kidding).
