Here is my seven year project , Putting the motor in finally and then will use Norms 59 Ford wagon panel paint job for inspiration , Im thinking green w fades.
Im gonna say the same thing when You and D are helping me color sand "Go little Hercules Go" Did I forget to mention?
except for the ugly ass big wheels I need to score a '65 soon... I have the proper engine for a GS sitting and waiting...
Im gonna try . Im painting motor this weekend then put it in next week then start laying out the master plan for paint, but you know how plans work out on ur personal cars its seems to get pushed to the side for customer cars.
64 Rivi, with the 65 treatment.. Dad n Uncle chopped & shaved it in 67, after coming back from Vietnam The Rivi with the blk top/wht flmd bottom, is Denver Mullins from Denvers choppers. My Dad is shaving Larry Hortons gold Rivi in the background. That's Franks Paint & Body and the 57 SD & 56HT(the 56 sits in a garage and still looks like that today-turquoise w/ gold pearl) were Dad & Uncles I just noticed the 57 SD has a 57 Buick Grille and the dagmars removed.. Dad was pretty cool back in the day! Still is with me!
Your first post and you show us how someone fucked up a great car. That Rivi is pretty much the anti-HAMB. You really need to Read This First! and figure out what the place is about before you post more crap like that.
Franks was in SB, you are correct.. Frank Navarro, was the owner The Rivi had air cylinders up front also.. pretty neat for the early years The car was called Fantasmagoria..
the nicest "for sale" Riviera in the country! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=585700&highlight=riviera i have loved on this car more than once.
Here's a '63 we worked up in the shop (sorry about the wheels, not out choice). We relocated the headlights into the fenders, and made a grille that matches the spacing, count, and thickness of the bars of the fender grilles. Here it is, sans chrome:
Should have never sold mine...everytime I view this thread I get sick to my stomach...gonna have to get another Rivi soon
I'm not crazy about the flames on that Riv but the landau arms actually look pretty sweet. I'm guessing they came off a late 1960s fordor T-bird.
Welcome to the HAMB. But I have to say, where are you going that you passing all these cars with Supremes and skinny whites?
Here are a couple of pics of my 63 towing a 1947 Kit teardrop and a couple of my 65. I no longer own the 63 but I have owned the 65 since 1994. Jerome
