    Nice job, Tim!

It will be good to see you on the salt again! I have a shirt for you that I owe you-I've almost wore out the one you gave me.

  2. No worries, we'll have a new one for you this year. :D

If I can ask ... what displacement are you utilizing with this combo & what kind of final HP & Tq. numbers are you expecting?

I dig the DIY knife edge job. Using the old knogg'n.

Best of luck this yr. I followed this build since the start. I had a '62 uni at the time. I now have a '64 fairlane sedan vintage drag racer.

  6. 305 is the D class limit. We are just under that.

  7. 304ci to be exact. HP and TQ #s? Some where in the 520 and 450 range respectively but I'll never get any dyno time before speed week so this is a best guess. ;)

A little progress on Saturday. Installed cam & lifters and laid the crank. Spins slicker than snot on a glass door knob!

    .408" cam lift

RWHP or FWHP? How does this compare to last year's setup?

I can't wait to hear it this year!

  19. what are Rocker arms???

  20. That would be at the crank Buddy. Remember this is a Guesstimate, figure 1.7hp per cube. Maybe as much as 100 better than last year. ;)

With the better head flow we might even see a bit more RPM.

  21. Beautiful sight, right there!

Those exhaust ports look terrific! Can we see the intakes and combustion chambers too? Or is that asking for secrets? ( I'm through racing mine).

  23. No secrets. :D

Look down the intake ports. Those who know will see the difference.

    Same here. ;)

  25. Serious! I grew up around some pretty nasty Sprintcars and this thing is one of the most nasty sounding engines short of a top fueler I have experienced. The new one should be even better!

  26. Sticks out a bit.

Doesn't hit the head or the valves though. ;)

I hadn't planned on making Bonneville this year, but my plans may have just changed...

So what kind of compression ratio will you have with those big domes on the pistons and those little combustion chambers?:D:D
